Your New Best Friend is Waiting
Adopting a pet from Silver Paws Golden Days Co Sanctuary is about so much more than bringing home a companion—it’s about becoming part of their incredible journey. Many of our animals have faced challenges, whether they’re seniors, special needs, or pets who came to us with medical issues. Now, they’re thriving and ready to bring love and joy into a forever home.
Each adoption not only transforms their life but also supports our mission to rescue and care for animals who need it most. Take a look at our adoptable pets and find the one who’s been waiting for you—you just might find your heart’s perfect match.
Adoption FAQ’s
Why does the adoption application ask for so much information?
We’re committed to placing our animals in homes that meet their unique needs. The detailed questions in our application help us ensure the best match for both you and the pet. Your information is only used for processing your application and will never be sold or shared with third parties.
How long does the adoption process take?
Since we are a volunteer-run organization, the adoption process may take some time. You can expect to hear from us within 10–20 days after submitting your application. Your patience ensures we find the best possible fit for you and the animal.
What if the animal I applied for is no longer available?
Due to health or other factors, some animals may become unavailable during the process. If this happens, we’ll work with you to explore other potential matches or refer you to rescues who may have better matches for you.
What are the steps in the adoption process?
Step 1: Complete the application and receive confirmation of submission via email.
Step 2: We’ll email you with questions, schedule a phone interview, and request a copy of your ID.
Step 3: During the interview, we’ll discuss your application, the animal’s needs, and your expectations.
Step 4: We’ll contact your references, including your vet, landlord, or groomer.
Step 5: A quick home check will be completed, likely via FaceTime or Zoom.
Step 6: If it’s a great fit for everyone, you’ll meet the animal and possibly adopt!
How can I contact you with additional questions?

What are your adoption fees?
Our adoptions are fully donation-based. Instead of a set fee, we encourage adopters to contribute what they can to support our mission.
Your donation helps cover the cost of rescuing, rehabilitating, and caring for animals in need—ensuring we can continue to save lives and provide the best care possible. Whether big or small, your generosity makes a direct impact on the animals and allows us to keep doing what we do best: giving senior and special needs pets the golden days they deserve.
